
New Delhi, 12 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on the formation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Assam for the third consecutive time. The Prime Minister said that Himanta Sarma has carved a distinct identity for himself as a capable administrator and has undertaken several transformative initiatives for the state’s development.
In a social‑media post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Today is a special day for Assam. The NDA government has assumed power for the third time in a row. I congratulate Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on taking charge. He has established himself as an outstanding administrator and has carried out several pioneering initiatives for the state.”
He added that his good wishes accompany the Chief Minister for the coming term.
Prime Minister Modi also extended congratulations to Rameswar Teli, Atul Bora, Charan Boro and Ajanta Neog, who took oath as ministers in the Assam government. He said that the efforts of these leaders would further strengthen the pace of Assam’s development.
In another post, the Prime Minister said, “I congratulate Rameswar Teli, Atul Bora, Charan Boro and Ajanta Neog on taking oath as ministers in the Assam government. My best wishes for their effective work in strengthening the state’s developmental journey.”
