New Delhi, 11 May (H.S.): The Supreme Court has launched a modernised case management system aimed at improving transparency in judicial processes by digitally integrating case data across the higher judiciary, district courts and taluka‑level courts.
Chief Justice of India Surya Kant announced the initiative on Monday, stating that the Court is beginning the “One Case One Data” project, under which information relating to any case from the High Court, district court and taluka court levels will be consolidated on a single digital platform.
The “One Case One Data” initiative seeks to link case information from all High Courts, district courts and taluka courts, creating a unified national database. The objective is to evolve a more efficient and modern case‑management framework, improving case tracking, record‑management and transparency in judicial proceedings.
Chief Justice Kant said that all details concerning a case will be made available through one centralised digital platform, enabling judges, lawyers and litigants to access a complete, integrated view of a matter’s journey across different court levels.
Alongside the upgraded case‑management system, the Supreme Court has also launched an AI‑powered chatbot named “Su Sahay”, integrated with the Supreme Court’s official website. This feature is designed to give citizens, lawyers and litigants easier access to judicial information and procedural guidance.
The Chief Justice added that the chatbot has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in collaboration with the Supreme Court Registry. It will provide users with simple, user‑friendly guidance on how to access the Supreme Court’s essential services, including filing procedures, case‑status inquiries and basic procedural queries.
The Court’s digital initiative is part of a broader push toward e‑justice and paperless, citizen‑centric litigation. By converging multi‑level case data and introducing AI‑assisted support, the Supreme Court aims to make the justice‑delivery system not only faster, but also more transparent and accessible to ordinary citizens.
