
Vadodara, 11 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to cap his Gujarat visit with key inaugurations in Vadodara this evening, following a resounding public address in Jamnagar yesterday where he lambasted West Bengal's political turmoil and extolled the state's industrial ascent.

Addressing a vast crowd in Jamnagar on May 10, PM Modi blended Gujarat's developmental triumphs with a pointed critique of Bengal's governance. He described the eastern state's elections as unparalleled in their volatility, lamenting the loss of over 300 BJP workers' lives and vowing his party as the sole harbinger of change to lift Bengal from its deep pit.
PM Modi underscored Gujarat's transformation into a global manufacturing powerhouse, spotlighting its primacy in semiconductors, metro coaches, and aerospace, alongside a unique state ministry for climate change. He credited four generations of voter loyalty for this progress, invoking Jan Shakti, Gyan Shakti, Jal Shakti, Urja Shakti, and Raksha Shakti as foundational resolutions.
The rally also commemorated the 1857 Revolution's anniversary, with PM Modi honoring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr. Rajendra Prasad for restoring the Somnath Temple.
Today's Vadodara Itinerary
This morning, PM Modi will participate in the Somnath Amrit Mahotsav at the iconic Jyotirlinga temple, marking its 75th reconstruction anniversary. He will conduct a special Maha Puja, Kumbhabhishek, and flag hoisting, while releasing a commemorative postage stamp and coin.
In the evening, PM Modi will inaugurate the Sardardham Hostel in Vadodara, a modern facility housing 1,000 boys and 1,000 girls with amenities like a central dining hall, library, and auditorium. He plans to tour key sections, including the e-library and citizen facilitation areas, reinforcing Gujarat's commitment to youth empowerment.
