New Delhi, 10 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, that national development is impossible without the progress of states, and Telangana's development will propel the goal of a developed India. The Central Government is working with rapid state development at the center of its schemes.

Prime Minister, speaking virtually on Sunday from the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), inaugurated, laid foundation stones for, and dedicated to the nation various development projects costing over Rs 9,400 crore. During this, he remarked that Telangana's strength is not only national but also global.

Several major projects are being initiated to transform the surrounding areas into the country's largest manufacturing hub, which will generate employment for thousands of youth and strengthen the state's connectivity.

The Prime Minister said India is currently advancing on the express of reforms and modern infrastructure. The development of the Zahirabad Industrial Area is part of this vision. This area will be developed as an industrial smart city with world-class infrastructure, reliable power supply, and advanced information and communication technology networks. He added that this will provide global investors with the facilities needed to establish industries.

He noted that the Central Government is investing thousands of crores in developing this industrial area, creating large-scale employment opportunities for the youth. The vehicle, machinery, and food processing industries to be established here will also empower farmers and laborers.

Referring to the Warangal PM MITRA Park, the Prime Minister said India is revitalizing its historical legacy in the textile industry. The PM MITRA Park will give new momentum to the textile revolution in the country, and units set up here will benefit from the Central Government's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. This will create new employment opportunities, especially for women and youth.

The Prime Minister stated that modern connectivity has been a major priority of the Central Government over the past 12 years. Unprecedented investments are being made in the development of roads, railways, and airports. Nearly Rs 1.75 lakh crore has been invested in national highways, benefiting Telangana as well. Over the last 11 years, Telangana's national highway network has doubled.

He mentioned that the widening of the national highway connecting Telangana and Karnataka will reduce travel time and lower freight costs. Discussing railway projects, the Prime Minister said that before 2014, the railway budget for undivided Andhra Pradesh was less than Rs 1,000 crore, whereas today, the railway budget for Telangana alone is approximately Rs 5,000 crore.

He added that projects worth thousands of crores are currently underway in the state. Five Vande Bharat and six Amrit Bharat trains are operating in Telangana. Additionally, certain sections of the Kazipet-Vijayawada multi-tracking project and the Kazipet rail under bypass line were also dedicated to the nation.

The Prime Minister emphasized that energy security has become critically important in the 21st century. India is making unprecedented investments to strengthen energy security. The inauguration of the new terminal of Indian Oil at Malkapur is a significant step in this direction, meeting Telangana's growing energy needs and fortifying the supply chain.

He stated that India has joined the world's leading nations in solar energy. Steps like ethanol blending in petrol, 100% LPG coverage, and providing affordable gas through pipelines are advancing the country toward self-reliance in the energy sector.

Appealing to the people for prudent use of energy resources like petrol, diesel, and gas, he said this would save foreign exchange and mitigate the adverse effects of global crises.

The Prime Minister remarked that Telangana's youth are dreaming new dreams, its farmers are moving forward with new hopes, and its industries, MSMEs, and startups aspire to play a key role in building a developed Telangana. The Central Government will continue working at an even faster pace for the state's development.
