Gurugram, 10 May (H.S.):
YouTuber and social media influencer Elvish Yadav has once again received a death threat. This time, he has allegedly been asked to pay Rs 10 crore in extortion money in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The threat was sent through a WhatsApp message from a foreign number. The sender identified himself as Randeep Malik, a close associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Following a complaint received on Sunday, police at Sector 56 police station in Gurugram have launched an investigation.
The police are trying to trace where the threatening message was sent from. According to reports, Elvish Yadav is currently outside Gurugram in connection with the shooting of a show. At present, his show Laughter Chefs is airing on the Colors channel, and he is also shooting for other channels.
Family members said the sender warned that if the money was not paid within two days, he would be shot.
Police officials said that on May 5, Elvish Yadav received a WhatsApp call on his mobile phone from a foreign number, but he could not answer it. A short while later, a message was sent from the same number.
On the matter, Elvish Yadav’s father, Ramavatar Yadav, said that his son has reached this position through hard work. He said that Gurugram is home to many wealthy people, and anyone can threaten someone and demand money. However, he added that he does not know much about the matter and that Elvish has not shared any details with the family.
It may be noted that on August 17, 2025, miscreants fired nearly 24 rounds at Elvish Yadav’s house in Sector 56. The bike-borne attackers targeted the doors, windows and even the roof of the house. In that case, Delhi Police arrested two shooters, who were allegedly paid Rs 50,000 each for the firing.
