New Delhi, 01 May (H.S.): After experiencing weakness for three consecutive days, gold prices opened higher in early trading across domestic bullion markets today. In contrast, silver prices have declined in the bullion markets.

Excluding Chennai, gold has risen by ₹220 to ₹240 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. However, Chennai recorded a sharp surge of ₹1,520 to ₹1,650 per 10 grams in gold prices. Unlike gold, silver has become cheaper by up to ₹5,000 per kilogram during early trading today.

The rebound in spot gold prices has pushed 24-carat gold to trade between ₹1,50,670 and ₹1,53,830 per 10 grams in most parts of the country. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold is available between ₹1,38,110 and ₹1,41,010 per 10 grams.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,50,820 per 10 grams, while 22-carat stands at ₹1,38,260 per 10 grams. Mumbai sees 24-carat at ₹1,50,670 and 22-carat at ₹1,38,110 per 10 grams. Ahmedabad records 24-carat at ₹1,50,720 and 22-carat at ₹1,38,160 per 10 grams.

Chennai shows 24-carat gold at ₹1,53,830 and 22-carat at ₹1,41,010 per 10 grams. Kolkata mirrors Mumbai's rates at ₹1,50,670 for 24-carat and ₹1,38,110 for 22-carat. Bhopal has 24-carat at ₹1,50,720 and 22-carat at ₹1,38,160 per 10 grams.

Jaipur lists 24-carat at ₹1,50,820 and 22-carat at ₹1,38,260 per 10 grams. Patna and Lucknow both show 24-carat at ₹1,50,720/₹1,50,820 and 22-carat at ₹1,38,160/₹1,38,260 per 10 grams respectively.

Silver and International Trends

Weakness in silver has brought prices to ₹2,49,900 per kilogram in Delhi's bullion market. Internationally, spot gold rose 0.08% to $4,626.38 per ounce, while silver trades at $74.31 per ounce.

In Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha capitals—Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold trades at ₹1,50,670 and 22-carat at ₹1,38,110 per 10 grams, reflecting the nationwide upward momentum in gold prices.
