Pune, 01 May (HS): Maharashtra Minister for Higher

and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil announced that the historical 100th

Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (All India Marathi Literary Meet) will

be held in Pune only.

Patil was speaking during inauguration of Children’s

Book Fair in Pune, organised jointly by Pune Pustak Mahotsav, Pune Municipality

and Samwad Pune. Patil said that the allegations that young generation does not

read is wrong, which is evident from turnout of over 15 lakh people during the

last Book Fair.

Maharsahtra Minister Uday Samant (through virtual

mode), Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, Deputy Mayor Parshuram Wadekar, MLA Hemant Rasne

and others were present.
