Global markets signaled robust recovery Wednesday following the US-Iran two-week ceasefire announcement amid West Asia tensions, with Asian bourses posting broad-based gains despite mixed US and European closes.

US Futures Lead Rebound

American indices ended flat-to-mixed Tuesday under pre-ceasefire pressure, but Dow Jones futures exploded 2.32% or 1,082.12 points to 47,666.58 in early trading. The S&P 500 eked out a 0.08% gain at 6,616.85, while Nasdaq dipped 0.03% to 21,990.75.

Europe Buckles Under Prior Strain

European markets closed lower amid escalating hostilities: FTSE fell 0.85% to 10,348.79, CAC 40 shed 0.68% at 7,908.74, and DAX plunged 1.08% or 246.49 points to 22,921.59.

Asia Ignites Broad Rally

Asian markets erupted in unison on truce optimism. Gift Nifty soared 3.64% or 841.50 points to 23,979; Hang Seng vaulted 2.97% or 767.47 points to 25,884. KOSPI rocketed 7.04% or 387.03 points to 5,881.81; Nikkei surged 5.34% or 2,852.44 points to 56,282; Taiwan Weighted rose 4.10% or 1,361.47 points to 34,591.29; Jakarta Composite gained 2.80% or 195.16 points to 7,166.19; Shanghai Composite climbed 1.92% to 3,964.72; SET Composite added 1.39% to 1,484.82; Straits Times edged up 0.70% to 4,992.64.
