The fifth PSPB Baba Deep Singh Basketball Tournament (men and women) kicked off Tuesday with thrilling matches, as hosts Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Kirori Mal College, Stoner Academy, and Ramjas College secured victories in their opening games.
In men's action, host SGTB Khalsa College dominated Amity University 77-42. Rupesh Bhati earned Player of the Match honors for his stellar contribution.
Kirori Mal College defeated Sri Ram College of Commerce 80-60, with Bhavya named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance.
In women's competition, Stoner Academy crushed IP College 76-40. Sheryl claimed Player of the Match for her impressive display.
Ramraj College beat Kirori Mal College 40-28, with Veda Shrivastava receiving Player of the Match accolades for her fine play.
The tournament was inaugurated jointly by Petroleum Sports Promotion Board Joint Secretary Sandeep Gadoria, SGTB Khalsa College Principal Prof. Gurmohinder Singh, and Director of Physical Education & Sports Science Dr. Inderpreet Kaur.
