Tehran/Washington, 07 April (H.S.): Iran has mobilized in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's stark warning that failure to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday night could lead to strikes obliterating the country's public infrastructure, including power plants.

Iran's Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Alireza Rahimi, called on young people, cultural figures, athletes, and champions to join a national campaign forming human chains around power plants at 2 p.m. Tuesday local time.

In a post on X, Rahimi framed the Human Chain of Iranian Youth for a Bright Future as a unified stand across beliefs, signaling that attacks on critical infrastructure constitute war crimes.

Trump reiterated that Iran could be completely destroyed in one night, possibly Tuesday, tying the threat to Tehran's actions amid a fragile situation. He dismissed concerns over civilian hardship, claiming readiness to endure it if it secures Iranian freedom, while Tehran warned of regional repercussions beyond any strikes.

Earlier, Trump deemed a 45-day ceasefire proposal from multiple nations insufficient, which Iran rejected per state media, demanding a permanent end.Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei affirmed that Iranian forces would not retreat despite commander losses, underscoring unyielding resolve.
