Political party symbols in Kerala polls

Thiruvananthapuram, 06 April (H.S):

With just three days left for polling, Kerala has entered the final and most intense phase of election campaigning, as political parties and alliances make their last efforts to secure voter support ahead of the crucial verdict.

All major fronts — the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), the United Democratic Front (UDF), and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) — have shifted into high gear, focusing on high-voltage campaigns and star-studded appearances across the state. The final leg of campaigning is expected to peak on Tuesday, with several top national leaders scheduled to arrive in Kerala to rally support for their respective alliances.

Senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are set to campaign in northern Kerala today, targeting key constituencies where the UDF hopes to consolidate its position. Meanwhile, a major roadshow led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to take place in Kollam, adding momentum to the Congress-led alliance’s outreach efforts.

On the NDA front, Union Home Minister Amit Shah continues his campaign tour in Kerala. He participated in election events, including a high-profile campaign in Beypore on Sunday, and is expected to remain active in the state in the run-up to polling day.

The LDF, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, is also intensifying its campaign. The Chief Minister is scheduled to release the government’s progress report today, highlighting the achievements of the incumbent administration. Later in the day, he will lead a roadshow in Peralassery as part of the LDF’s final outreach drive.

In addition, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will campaign in Palakkad, further underlining the importance of the state for national parties.

With the campaign entering its decisive phase, Kerala is witnessing a political showdown, as parties leave no stone unturned to influence voters before polling day.
