Asian Indices Split

Three of nine Asian benchmarks traded green, two in red; Hong Kong's Hang Seng, China's Shanghai Composite, Thailand's SET, and Taiwan Weighted remained unchanged due to holidays.

Key Performers

GIFT Nifty: Down 0.10% at 22,683.

Jakarta Composite: Fell 0.69% to 6,978.26.

Nikkei: Up 1.14% (604.51 pts) at 53,728.

Kospi: Gained 0.77% to 5,418.80.

Straits Times: Rose 0.30% to 4,962.13.
