Washington, 05 April (H.S.):

In a stunning turn amid the escalating West Asia conflict, the United States has successfully extracted its missing pilot from Iranian soil through a complex rescue mission, President Donald Trump announced Sunday. Trump described the operation as one of the most audacious in American history, underscoring U.S. air superiority over the region.

The pilot from the downed F-15E Strike Eagle jet has been safely recovered. In a Truth Social post, Trump declared: We got him out safe! In the last few hours, our military has successfully executed one of the most daring rescue missions in history. Our incredible crew member officer, a respected colonel, is now fully safe.

He detailed that the U.S. military deployed dozens of aircraft equipped with the world's most powerful weapons to secure the rescue. The officer sustained injuries but is expected to make a full recovery. This proves we have achieved complete air superiority and dominance over Iranian skies, Trump added.

Notably, the U.S. Air Force F-15 Eagle crashed in southern Iran on Friday, carrying two crew members—a pilot and a weapons systems officer. Both ejected in time and maintained contact with each other. The pilot was rescued within hours, but locating the second crew member posed a formidable challenge. Undeterred, American forces executed the intricate operation with precision.

This development caps days of uncertainty following Iran's downing of the $31.1 million jet, amid broader U.S.-Israeli strikes and Iranian retaliations targeting Israel, Kuwait, and Gulf infrastructure. The rescue bolsters U.S. morale as Trump's 48-hour ultimatum to Iran looms, with potential strikes on vital infrastructure under consideration.
