Gwalior, 30 April (H.S.): Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan's 'Da One Sports' launched its first High-Performance Centre (HPC) on Thursday at Aditya World Cricket Academy in Gwalior, in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh League and Bundelkhand Bulls. This ambitious nationwide vision aims to create structured pathways for India's next generation of cricketers by unearthing regional talent and providing professional, high-performance routes for emerging players.
Inspired by Arjuna Awardee Shikhar Dhawan's vision, the Da One High Performance Centre is envisioned as the first of many such facilities across India. World-class infrastructure combined with a long-term development approach has been designed to revolutionise talent identification, training, and preparation for elite levels.
Shikhar Dhawan said in an official statement, Cricket has given me everything, and I've always felt a profound responsibility to give back meaningfully. Having lived this journey myself, I understand what's required to become a champion at the highest level.
Through Da One Sports, our goal is to build a system providing young talents with right guidance, structure, and mindset for better success preparation. The Da One HPC is a step in that direction.
MPCA President Mahanaryaman Scindia stated, Investing in grassroots cricket builds a strong talent pipeline, ensuring India's cricket ecosystem remains sustainable, competitive, and globally leading in coming years.
Da One Group CEO Anshita Gupta said, We're proud partnering with Madhya Pradesh League, Bundelkhand Bulls, and Aditya World Cricket Academy to realise this vision. At Da One Sports, our focus is creating infrastructure and opportunities enabling young players' journey from potential to performance. This collaboration helps develop a robust, structured ecosystem supporting athlete growth at every level.
Gwalior's Da One HPC will be led by former Indian cricketer and national selector Saba Karim as Technical Director, with Shikhar Dhawan's childhood coach Madan Sharma providing guidance. The centre features turf and synthetic pitches, all-weather training nets, strength and conditioning facilities, and dedicated recovery zones.
