His lingering frustration over a disputed catch by Varun Chakravarthy upheld on review—drew match officials' scrutiny, marking a Level 1 violation under Article 2.3.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India imposed the fine alongside a demerit point, with Sharma accepting the sanction as final per referee protocols.

Despite the blemish, his explosive 48 off 21 balls—featuring four fours and four sixes—propelled SRH to 226 for eight, alongside Travis Head's partnership.
