Kathmandu, 03 April (H.S.):
Nepal's Home Minister Sudan Gurung has publicly shared a photo of himself sleeping on a sofa in his ministry office. He posted the image on Facebook, where he is seen dozing inside the office.
In the Facebook post, he captioned it: No creation surpasses the Creator; no government stands above the people. The photo shows him bundled under a quilt on the sofa.
Those close to him say that since taking charge of the Home Ministry, Sudan Gurung has not returned home. He has been observed holding meetings with security officials late into the night for several days.
On the very day he assumed office as Home Minister, Gurung held a late-night meeting with security officials and ordered action against those accused of suppressing the Jan-Jee movement.
Following his directives, on the second day in office, former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak were arrested. Gurung is relentlessly pressuring investigation agencies to act on all pending cases against the former prime minister, ministers, and top officials.
