Bhubaneswar, 29 April (H.S.): In a significant administrative review aimed at accelerating industrial and urban infrastructure development, Usha Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department and Chairperson of Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha, undertook a comprehensive field visit to the Kalinganagar industrial region in Jajpur on Tuesday.

The visit focused on assessing land development initiatives, infrastructure readiness, and ongoing urban development projects in the industrial belt.

As part of the review, the ACS inspected nearly 600 acres of land at Alijanga and subsequently visited Sukutijhara to evaluate the preparedness of the area for upcoming industrial expansion. She was accompanied by District Collector Shri Ambar Kar, ADM Kalinganagar Sapan Kumar Nanda, and other senior officials.

Later, she visited the M/s Tata Steel DB Plot No. 2, where discussions were held with representatives of the district administration and Tata Steel regarding ongoing industrial activities and future expansion plans.

In addition to industrial infrastructure, the ACS reviewed the progress of key urban development schemes being implemented across the district, with emphasis on strengthening urban services, improving infrastructure, and enhancing quality of life in emerging industrial townships.

She also chaired a high-level review meeting at the KNDA Conference Hall on the development of the Kalinganagar National Industrial Corridor (KNIC). The meeting included detailed deliberations with officials from IDCO and the District Investment Promotion Agency (DIPA), focusing on streamlined land allocation, infrastructure development, and integration of industrial growth with urban service delivery.
