April 25 (HS): Anupama Jaiswal, a Sadar BJP MLA, sustained burn injuries while
trying to fire effigies of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party
national president Akhilesh Yadav. She was promptly admitted to the medical
college to receive treatment. The BJP has arranged a demonstration against
opposition parties opposing the Nari Vandan Act in Parliament. Anupama Jaiswal,
a Sadar BJP MLA, had also come to join in the protest. Due to high winds,
flames touched BJP MLA Anupama Jaiswal's face during the effigy burning,
causing her to be burned. The
professionals on the scene miraculously saved her, and she was quickly admitted
to medical school. She is being treated.
On
receiving information about the incident, District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi
and Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava reached the medical college
and enquired about the well-being of the MLA. The District Magistrate has
directed the CMS to provide better treatment to the MLA. A large number of BJP
workers were present during this.
