New Delhi, 25 April (H.S.):
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday dismissed images purportedly showing Arvind Kejriwal's residence, released by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as fake and baseless. He asserted that the photos being circulated as Kejriwal's home are fabricated.
Addressing a press conference at party headquarters, Singh declared all BJP-released images false, aimed solely at tarnishing Kejriwal's image. He warned that if the government or any TV channel broadcasts such images, AAP will file defamation cases against them.
Singh demanded that residences of the Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister, and ministers be opened to the public, along with Kejriwal's home, allowing people to inspect and judge the opulence themselves. He accused BJP of perpetuating its old tactic of spreading false narratives, citing similar fake cases against AAP leaders and suspension of party social media pages in Gujarat.
Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi echoed that the circulated images do not depict Kejriwal's house and are entirely fabricated.
