New Delhi, 24 April (H.S.): Gold prices continued their downward trend for the fifth consecutive day in early trading at domestic bullion markets today. Silver followed suit with a significant drop. Gold became cheaper by ₹1,100 to ₹1,200 per 10 grams, while silver declined by up to ₹5,000 per kilogram.

Internationally, gold fell 0.49 percent to $4,675.50 per ounce today. Silver traded at $76.37 per ounce. This global weakness has led to lower spot prices for gold and silver in India as well.

Across most bullion markets in the country, 24-carat gold traded between ₹1,53,540 and ₹1,54,250 per 10 grams today. 22-carat gold sold in the range of ₹1,40,740 to ₹1,41,390 per 10 grams. The sharp fall in silver prices brought it to ₹2,59,900 per kilogram in Delhi's bullion market.

City-Wise Gold Prices

In Delhi, 24-carat gold traded at ₹1,53,690 per 10 grams, with 22-carat at ₹1,40,890 per 10 grams. Mumbai saw 24-carat at ₹1,53,540 and 22-carat at ₹1,40,740 per 10 grams. Ahmedabad recorded 24-carat at ₹1,53,590 and 22-carat at ₹1,40,790 per 10 grams.

Chennai quoted 24-carat gold at ₹1,54,250 and 22-carat at ₹1,41,390 per 10 grams. Kolkata had 24-carat at ₹1,53,540 and 22-carat at ₹1,40,740 per 10 grams. Bhopal listed 24-carat at ₹1,53,590 and 22-carat at ₹1,40,790 per 10 grams.

Prices in Other Major Centres

Lucknow's bullion market saw 24-carat gold at ₹1,53,690 and 22-carat at ₹1,40,890 per 10 grams. Patna quoted 24-carat at ₹1,53,590 and 22-carat at ₹1,40,790 per 10 grams. Jaipur recorded both at ₹1,53,690 and ₹1,40,890 per 10 grams respectively.

In Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha capitals—Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold traded at ₹1,53,540 per 10 grams. 22-carat gold sold at ₹1,40,740 per 10 grams across these markets as well.
