Nagpur, 23 Apr (HS):

RSS Sarasanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat will perform bhoomipujan of the National

Health Care Institute (NHCI), a 450-bed multi-speciality and super speciality

hospital in Nagpur at 3.30 pm on April 24. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chief

Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Nagpur’s Guardian Minister and Maharashtra

Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule will remain present.

The hospital is being

developed under the aegis of Dr Abaji Thatte Sewa Aur Anusandhan Sanstha (Dr

Abaji Thatte Service and Research Trust), which earlier established the

National Cancer Institute in Nagpur.

General Secretary of

the Trust Shailesh Joglekar said NHCI will be developed at par with

international health care facilities and will be equipped with ultra-modern diagnostic

services and trained staff to handle them. The hospital will be the first of

its kind to provide all kinds of treatment for an affordable charges, by the

registered charitable trust.

The Singapore-based

HKS Asia Pacific Design Consulting PTE Ltd with M/s JJ Consultants from Mumbai

and project management consultant Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd are involved in

the designing and development of the hospital.
