Thane, 21 Apr (HS): Local train traffic on Central line remained

affected on the second consecutive day on Tuesday, following derailment of a

local train near Dombiwali station on Monday. Heavy crowd of regular travellers

was experienced in almost every station on the route. The pictures of

overcrowded Diva station went viral on social media.

The Central Railway had announced a special block at

Khardi for the repair works. The work was expected to be completed by 3 am on

Tuesday, but was not completed till 6 am causing disruption in schedule of

local trains. Besides local trains, other trains on Mumbai-Pune route are also

running behind schedule.
