Guwahati, 21 April (HS): Congress leader Pawan Khera has filed an anticipatory bail application before the Gauhati High Court, with the hearing on the plea scheduled to be held on Tuesday.

The case pertains to allegations that Khera allegedly spread misleading information by presenting claims regarding multiple passports linked to Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

According to sources, following the controversy, Khera reportedly left his residence in Delhi and took shelter in Congress-ruled Telangana. The development comes amid an ongoing legal and political tussle surrounding the allegations.---------------
