Nagaon (Assam), 20 April (HS): In a dramatic incident, locals in Rupahihat apprehended three suspected cattle thieves after chasing them down while they were allegedly attempting to load stolen cattle into a vehicle.

According to reports, the accused were caught red-handed during the act of theft, triggering outrage among residents in the area. The agitated crowd vandalised the vehicle reportedly used in the crime.

Sources said the group consisted of five individuals, out of which two managed to flee from the spot. Police have been informed and further investigation is underway to trace the absconding suspects.-----------
