Jayashankar Bhupalpally (Telangana), Apr 20 (HS): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday offered prayers at the Sri Kaleshwara Mukteswara Swamy Temple at Kaleshwaram in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.

The Chief Minister was accorded a traditional welcome at the temple, where he performed Abhishekam and special poojas.

He later participated in the Bhoomi Puja for temple development works estimated at around ₹200 crore. The proposed works aim to improve pilgrim infrastructure, including construction of an administrative building, a queue complex and other amenities to facilitate smoother darshan at the temple situated on the banks of the Godavari river.

Several ministers, including N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman Kumar and Vivek Venkataswamy, were present on the occasion. NDSA Chairman Anil Jain also attended the programme.

Later in the day, the Chief Minister is scheduled to visit Medigadda to inspect the barrage site and hold a review meeting with irrigation officials. He will also address a public meeting at Nasturipalli village in Kataram mandal and release the second phase of Rythu Bandhu funds.
