Guwahati, 20 April (HS): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of intense storms and heavy rainfall across Assam over the next two to three days, raising concerns of possible disruptions and localized damage.

According to the advisory, residents have been urged to avoid long-distance travel and unnecessary movement during this period, as adverse weather conditions may affect road connectivity and public safety.

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has also appealed to the people of Guwahati to remain alert and take necessary precautions. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have advised citizens to follow official updates and safety guidelines.----------
