Hockey India has announced a 36-member probable squad for the Senior Men’s National Coaching Camp in view of preparations for the upcoming international season. The camp will be held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centre in Bengaluru from April 20 to May 9.
The main objective of the camp is to strengthen team cohesion and improve the players’ fitness and tactical readiness. With a packed international calendar ahead, special attention will be given to team combination, rhythm and consistency in performance. The squad will be preparing for major tournaments such as the FIH Pro League, the World Cup and the Asian Games.
In the goalkeeping department, experienced names Krishna Bahadur Pathak, Suraj Karkera and Pawan have been included, along with young talents Mohit Honnanhalli Shashikumar and Princedeep Singh. The defence unit features captain Harmanpreet Singh and seasoned defender Amit Rohidas, along with Germanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay and Sumit. The list also includes younger players such as Poovanna Chandura Bobby, Yashdeep Siwach, Neelam Sanjeep Jess and Amandeep Lakra.
In midfield, key players Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh and Vivek Sagar Prasad will lead the side. They are joined by Rajinder Singh, Manmeet Singh, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, Vishnu Kant Singh, Raj Kumar Pal, Nilakanta Sharma and Roshan Kujur.
The forward line includes experienced players Mandeep Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Abhishek and Sukhjeet Singh, along with Shilanand Lakra, Araijeet Singh Hundal, Angad Bir Singh, Uttam Singh, Selvam Karthi, Aditya Arjun Lalge and Maninder Singh.
