Harshit Aneja unleashed a blistering 65-run blitz off just 23 balls—featuring eight fours and five sixes—to propel the Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (IGIPESS) to a commanding 100-run victory over Shyam Lal College in the third Swami Dayanand Saraswati T20 Cricket Tournament on Friday.
Batting first, IGIPESS amassed a formidable 260/8 in 20 overs, with Deepanshu's fiery 52 off 25 balls (seven fours, two sixes) providing robust support, and Kartik Kalra's 3-wicket haul sealing the dominance. Chasing 261, Shyam Lal crumbled to 160 all out, despite Asmit Panwar's 36 and Ravi Raj's 29; Sandeep's stellar 4/37 proved decisive.
In the tournament's other clash, DCAC crushed RLAC by 72 runs, powered by Suyash Pratap's match-winning 77 off 42 balls (10 fours, five sixes), earning him Man of the Match honors. DCAC posted 182 all out, while RLAC folded for 110 in 16.3 overs, with Manjit Verma (3/17) and Aradhya Sati (3/26) starring alongside Ankit (3 wickets) and Anshul (2 wickets); Tanmay Chopra top-scored for the losers with 22.
