New Delhi, 31 March (H.S.):
The government has appointed senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Vir Vikram Yadav as the new Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), succeeding Faiz Ahmed Kidwai.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) issued the order on Tuesday, transferring Madhya Pradesh cadre 1996-batch IAS officer Faiz Ahmed Kidwai to Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training.
Bureaucratic Reshuffle Details
A 1996-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer, Yadav currently serves as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. His appointment to DGCA under the Ministry of Civil Aviation comes amid ongoing aviation sector challenges including safety oversight and rapid growth.
