New York/Tehran 31 March (H.S.): Mohammad Safa a UN-affiliated official resigned Monday warning of plans for a massive nuclear strike on Tehran amid escalating West Asia tensions and claiming global leaders fail to grasp the gravity.
In an X post Safa alleged preparations for an attack that could devastate millions in the capital urging immediate action to avert nuclear winter and suspending his duties to avoid complicity in what he called a crime against humanity.
Safa stated he leaked the information at the cost of his diplomatic career highlighting Tehran's 10 million residents and likening it to nuking major Western cities with no UN verification or response yet sparking international debate.
