Tehran/Baghdad, 29 March (H.S.): Multiple powerful explosions jolted Iran's capital early Sunday morning around 7:20 am in northern Tehran Fars News Agency reported though targets remain unclear. Meanwhile assaults in Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region have intensified with armed group Saraya Awliya al-Dam linked to Iran striking US interests.

Al Jazeera cited Fars on the Tehran blasts while Kurdish President Nechirvan Barzani's Duhok residence faced repeated hits prompting his call for Baghdad to take a firm stand.

The Iran-backed Shia militia Saraya Awliya al-Dam which operates in northern Iraq especially Erbil claimed six strikes in 24 hours on US-tied sites including Koya district displacement camps a US base in Harir and a failed drone attack on the Erbil US consulate downed by American air defenses. Explosions also echoed over Baghdad recently.

This front group tied to Asaib Ahl al-Haq and Islamic Resistance in Iraq frames itself as Iraqi resistance retaliating in the US-Israel-Iran war for Supreme Leader Khamenei's would-be assassins. It backs Tehran's military push particularly after IRGC claimed Saturday strikes on Israeli radar centers airports downing a US MQ-9 Reaper and hitting an F-16 plus Haifa port's Israeli defense-run electronic warfare radar complex and a Ben-Gurion Airport fuel depot.

Amid the mayhem Iran hit Bahrain's Alba aluminium plant injuring two workers with IRGC owning the assault alongside UAE's Emirates Global Aluminium via missile-drone barrage calling out their US defense ties. Tehran threatened US-Israeli universities across the Middle East vowed revenge for Bushehr family killings and Khuzestan water plant hits while Houthis launched fresh Israel strikes in support. Iran's Press TV touted the joint IRGC army and proxy operation Saturday.
