New Delhi, 27 March (H.S.):
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered prayers to Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth and final form of Goddess Durga, and asked her blessings for the successful attainment of goals for countrymen. Marking the conclusion of Chaitra Navratri on the ninth day, dedicated to Maa Siddhidatri, the Prime Minister extended his greetings to citizens and prayed that the Goddess grant all devotees the grace to achieve their objectives.
In a message posted on X, PM Modi said he salutes Maa Siddhidatri and seeks her divine grace so that every devotee may attain success in fulfilling their life goals. The Prime Minister also shared a Sanskrit shloka dedicated to the Goddess, which reads, “Siddhagandharvayakshadyairasurairamarairapi, sevyamana sada bhuyat Siddhida Siddhidaayini.” The verse essentially conveys that the Goddess, who is ever‑worshipped by siddhas, gandharvas, yakshas, asuras and even the devas, may bless devotees with accomplishments and well‑being, showering them with siddhis and prosperity.
Referring to the significance of the day, PM Modi noted that worship of Maa Siddhidatri infuses extraordinary strength in devotees, filling them with a deep sense of confidence and optimism about success. Siddhidatri, revered as the giver of siddhis or spiritual and material powers, is believed to help devotees overcome obstacles and realise their aspirations.
