New Delhi, 27 March (H.S.):

After a brief one‑day recovery, bullion markets have turned softer again, with gold prices slipping and silver showing a marginal dip in domestic markets. In the opening part of Friday’s trade, 24‑karat gold has fallen by around ₹1,970 to ₹2,140 per 10 grams across key jewellery hubs, while silver has logged a small decline of about ₹200 per kilogram.

As a result, most major sarafa markets in India are now quoting 24‑karat gold in the ₹1,44,540–₹1,44,690 per 10‑gram range, with 22‑karat gold trading between ₹1,32,490 and ₹1,32,640 per 10 grams. In Delhi, 24‑karat gold stands at ₹1,44,690 per 10 grams, while 22‑karat is available at ₹1,32,640 per 10 grams. Mumbai is relatively cheaper, with 24‑karat at ₹1,44,540 and 22‑karat at ₹1,32,490 per 10 grams.

In Ahmedabad, 24‑karat gold is priced at ₹1,44,590 per 10 grams, and 22‑karat at ₹1,32,540 per 10 grams. Other commercial centres such as Chennai, Kolkata, Bhopal, Lucknow, Patna and Jaipur are also trading 24‑karat gold in the ₹1,44,540–₹1,44,690 bracket, with 22‑karat pegged between ₹1,32,490 and ₹1,32,640 per 10 grams.

In the state capitals of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24‑karat gold is quoted at ₹1,44,540 per 10 grams, and 22‑karat at ₹1,32,490 per 10 grams, mirroring the broader trend of slight easing in bullion rates.

Silver has weakened only marginally, with the metal trading at around ₹2,49,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market, reflecting a modest pullback from the previous day’s level. The slight softness in precious metals comes amid continued global uncertainty, including the Israel–Iran‑linked tensions and volatile crude‑oil prices, which are keeping sentiment cautious among physical buyers and jewellers alike.
