March (HS): Police stated on Thursday that a man was arrested after reportedly
making an inflammatory comment in response to the vandalism of a Dr B R
Ambedkar statue. According to authorities, someone recently vandalized
Ambedkar's monument in Bhagwanpur village. After receiving information, police
raced to the scene and calmed down the residents. Law and order in the
neighborhood have subsequently been restored. The dispute erupted on Wednesday,
when a man reportedly advertised a Rs 11 lakh reward for anyone who would sever
the hands of those involved for the damage, according to police.
The
accused, Haseen Yaseen, a resident of Abdulapur under the jurisdiction of
Bhavanpur police station, was apprehended and charged under applicable legal
procedures, according to police. Senior Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey
stated that legal action has been taken against the guilty for their
contentious statements. Pandey said five police teams have been created to find
and arrest individuals responsible for the statue's damage, and attempts are
being made to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
