Italy's Jannik Sinner powered into the Miami Open 2026 round of 16 Monday keeping alive his Sunshine Double bid after clinching Indian Wells earlier this month. The world number one dismantled France's Corentin Moutet 6-1 6-4 in clinical fashion positioning himself for a potential second straight Masters 1000 title. Sinner now faces American Alex Michelsen who edged Chile's Alejandro Tabilo 3-6 6-3 6-4.
Defending champion Jakub Mensik crashed out in a shocker with American Frances Tiafoe grinding past him 7-6(7/4) 4-6 7-6(13/11) in a tiebreak thriller. Russia's Daniil Medvedev also fell to Argentina's Francisco Cerundolo 6-0 4-6 7-5 joining early exits by Carlos Alcaraz Alex de Minaur and Ben Shelton.
