
New Delhi, 20 March (H.S.): Domestic bullion markets opened sharply lower Friday with spot gold shedding 6850 to 7470 rupees per 10 grams and silver easing a symbolic 100 rupees per kg dragging 24-carat rates to 150270-150420 per 10 grams nationwide.In Delhi 24-carat traded at 150420 22-carat at 137890 per 10 grams Mumbai saw 150270 and 137740 Ahmedabad 150320 and 137790 Chennai Kolkata 150270 and 137740 Bhopal 150320 and 137790 Lucknow 150420 and 137890 Patna 150320 and 137790 Jaipur 150420 and 137890 while Bengaluru Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar quoted 150270 and 137740.
Silver fetched 259900 per kg in Delhi mirroring the slump.Global cues dragged too Singapores spot gold at 4678.69 dollars per ounce London silver at 70.49 dollars amid Thursday energy shocks from Middle East tensions though spot gold hovered near recent highs earlier this week around 157000 per 10 grams.
