
New Delhi, 02 March (H.S.): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced Monday the full itinerary for Afghanistan's tour of India, with New Chandigarh set to host its maiden Test match from June 6–10, becoming India's 31st Test venue.
Groundbreaking Debut
Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh—previously hosting IPL, one men's T20I, and women's ODIs—will witness five-day cricket for the first time. Play starts daily at 9:30 AM IST.Afghanistan's last India visit was a 2024 T20I series; their sole prior Test here was 2018 in Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
ODI Tri-Series
Follows Post-Test, a three-match ODI series unfolds:
1st ODI: June 14, Dharamshala – 1:30 PM IST
2nd ODI: June 17, Lucknow – 1:30 PM IST
3rd ODI: June 20, Chennai – 1:30 PM IST
