
Sribhumi 02 (Assam), March (HS): Sribhumi district police seized a large consignment of Yaba tablets and arrested two alleged traffickers in a major anti-narcotics operation, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed through social media on Monday.
According to the Chief Minister, acting on specific intelligence inputs, the police launched an operation and recovered 30,000 Yaba tablets. Two persons involved in the smuggling racket were apprehended during the operation.
He stated that the timely action helped dismantle the supply chain before the contraband could be circulated further. The Chief Minister lauded the efforts of Assam Police and the Sribhumi district police for the successful operation.
Police have registered an FIR under the provisions of the NDPS Act and initiated further investigation into the case.-----------
