Guwahati, 02 March (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma paid rich tributes to noted poet Chandra Kumar Agarwala on his death anniversary, remembering him with deep reverence for his immense contributions to Assamese literature and society.

Describing him as one of the trinity of the Jonaki era and a pioneer of modern Assamese literature, the Chief Minister in his social media message said, Agarwala’s literary works transcended the pages of books and played a defining role in shaping the cultural consciousness of Assam.

Dr Sarma also highlighted Agarwala’s dedication to social service and public welfare, stating that his tireless contributions remain a bright chapter in Assam’s journey of development and continue to inspire generations.------------
