March (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that a proposal
has been issued to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inagurate Noida
International Airport in Jewar on March 28. Adityanath, speaking at a function
here, stated that Uttar Pradesh's air connectivity has grown tremendously in
recent years. In terms of nationwide connectivity, particularly aviation
connectivity, Uttar Pradesh now has 16 domestic airports and four international
airports. Jewar will soon be home to the state's fifth international airport.
We have asked the Prime Minister for its inauguration on March 28 and have
invited him, he added. He noted that the airport is projected to have a
significant impact on the state's economy. Consider the amount of increase in
revenue after Jewar airport is operating. According to the CM, it is estimated
to earn around Rs 1 lakh crore in income for the UP government.
He was
addressing at an event called Navnirman Ke 9 Varsh (9 Years of Reform). The
statements came only days after Noida International Airport CEO Christoph
Schnellmann met with Adityanath in Lucknow to receive the airport's aerodrome permit
given by the Centre. According to a state government statement released on
March 10, the group also informed the chief minister on the project's
development, projected inauguration timetable, and the start of commercial
flights.
According
to officials, the process of inauguration and commercial service debut at the
airport has progressed forward since the aerodrome licence was issued. The
Bureau of Civil Aviation Security is now reviewing the airport security plan,
and the final date of inauguration will be determined once all relevant
permissions have been obtained.
