Lucknow, 18
March (HS): Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education,
Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Agarwal inaugurated the 'Maha
Rojgar Mela-2026', which will provide job opportunities to thousands of youth. Digital
platforms called 'Kaushal Drishti', 'Kaushal Darpan' and 'Kaushal Dost' were
launched to promote skill development.
'Kaushal
Drishti' is a mobile application that monitors training centres in real time,
'Kaushal Darpan' is an AI-based dashboard that integrates information related
to skill development, and 'Kaushal Dost' is a chatbot that provides instant
assistance to users. Minister Agarwal motivated the youth to develop skills,
confidence and effective communication skills. He also advised the youth to be
patient about their career and avoid leaving the job without a better
opportunity. The government's aim is to make the youth not job seekers but
employment generating entrepreneurs.
The Uttar
Pradesh government is providing training in cutting-edge areas such as
robotics, drones, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, solar energy and
electric vehicles. Presently around 350 ITI's are operational, out of which 22
new ITI's have become operational and 30 more ITI's are planned to be started
in the next session. The job fair implemented a QR code-based system for
digital registration, and conducted a selection process for over 15,000 vacant
posts, with around 2,500 youth expected to get employment. Preference was given
to persons with disabilities, women and candidates from the 'Zero Poverty'
category.
