Dubai/Tehran/Washington, 01 March (H.S.): US President Donald Trump declared Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dead following joint US-Israel strikes. Iran rejected the claim outright. Meanwhile, intercepted Iranian drones caused a fire at Dubai's Burj Al Arab hotel.

From Mar-a-Lago, Trump called the operation Iran's best chance for regime change. He told ABC News he has clear ideas about potential successors. The strikes hit Khamenei's compound and nuclear facilities in Tehran and Isfahan.Israel claims the attacks also killed key aides, including Ali Shamkhani and IRGC chief Mohammad Pakpour. The Pentagon reports no US casualties and minimal damage to its bases.

Iran's Strong Denial

Iran's UN envoy Amir-Saeid Iravani vowed to target all US and Israeli assets in self-defense. He accused Israel of pulling America into a regional quagmire. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the strikes war crimes, citing a school attack that killed 108 children.The IRGC warned of stronger weapons to come.

Dubai Damage Mounts

An intercepted drone sparked a fire on the Burj Al Arab's exterior. No injuries were reported there. A separate Iranian attack damaged Dubai International Airport's concourse. Four people received treatment.The UAE downed 132 missiles and 195 drones. One person died from falling debris.

UN Emergency Session

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned of uncontrollable escalation. US envoy Mike Waltz defended the strikes as lawful against nuclear threats. Israel's Danny Danon pledged to continue until the danger ends.

Casualties rise. Iran reports 201 dead and 747 wounded across 24 provinces. A Tel Aviv strike killed one woman and injured 21 others.

Airspace closures spread across 11 countries. Oil prices surge as global leaders call for restraint.
