New Delhi, 28 February (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks today and tomorrow on a meticulously orchestrated tour spanning Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and the Union Territory of Puducherry, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for development projects exceeding ₹23,000 crore, with spotlight events heralding India's first indigenous semiconductor chip production and a nationwide HPV vaccination drive for adolescent girls to combat cervical cancer.

Ajmer Kickstarts with Mega Infrastructure Boost

In Ajmer, Rajasthan, at approximately 11:30 AM today, Prime Minister Modi will unveil projects worth over ₹16,680 crore across urban development, drinking water supply, roads, irrigation, energy, and industrial infrastructure. He will launch the pan-India HPV vaccination campaign targeting 14-year-old girls to prevent cervical cancer, a groundbreaking public health initiative, while distributing appointment letters to 21,800 newly recruited youth in government departments.

Complementing this, he will inaugurate segments of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway and Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor, enhancing national connectivity.

Gujarat's Semiconductor Leap: Sanand Shines GloballyBy 3:45 PM, Modi proceeds to Sanand, Gujarat, to inaugurate Micron Technology's Semiconductor Assembly, Test, and Packaging (ATMP) facility—the inaugural project under India's Semiconductor Mission (ISM). This ₹22,500 crore-plus investment houses one of the world's largest raised-floor cleanrooms, from where commercial production and shipment of India's inaugural indigenously manufactured semiconductor memory modules will commence, marking a pivotal stride toward technological self-reliance.

Southern Sojourn: Puducherry and Madurai Transform

Arriving in Chennai around 9:00 PM tonight, Prime Minister Modi resumes on March 1 at 11:45 AM in Puducherry, dedicating infrastructure, education, and healthcare projects valued up to ₹2,700 crore and addressing a public rally. In Madurai, he will commission infrastructure initiatives worth up to ₹4,400 crore, lay foundation stones for four-laning NH-332A's Marakkanam-Puducherry section and NH-87's Paramakudi-Ramanathapuram stretch, and inaugurate eight revamped railway stations in Tamil Nadu.

The day culminates at 4:00 PM with darshan and pooja at Madurai's iconic Arulmigu Subramanyaswamy Temple in Thirupparankundram.
