New Delhi, 28 February (H.S.): India voiced profound concern on Saturday regarding the ongoing developments in Iran and Gulf countries, renewing its appeal to all parties to exercise restraint and seek solutions through dialogue and diplomacy.

A statement from the Ministry of External Affairs emphasized that Indian embassies in the region are maintaining contact with Indian citizens and providing essential advisories. These urge nationals to remain vigilant, stay connected with diplomatic missions, and comply with local security directives.

Notably, the United States and Israel conducted attacks today targeting Iran's governmental and military leadership. In retaliation, Iran launched counterstrikes on American military bases in Gulf countries.

Meanwhile, Russia characterized the US and Israeli military actions as violations of international norms and provocative measures. Moscow accused Washington and Tel Aviv of destabilizing West Asia and intensifying regional deadlock.Russia asserted that such attacks could severely disrupt regional circumstances. The Russian Foreign Ministry urged the United Nations to urgently assess the situation and pursue strategic resolutions.
