New Delhi/Tel Aviv, 28 February (H.S.): The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv on Saturday advised Indian nationals in Israel to exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant following escalating tensions after Israeli strikes on Iran.
In an urgent advisory, the mission directed Indian citizens to strictly follow safety guidelines issued by Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command. It asked nationals to regularly check updated instructions on the official Home Front Command platform, remain close to designated shelters and identify the nearest protected spaces at their residence or workplace.
The embassy strongly discouraged all non-essential travel within Israel until further notice. Indian nationals have also been urged to closely monitor local news, official announcements and emergency alerts as the security situation continues to evolve.
The advisory comes amid reports of explosions in Tehran after Israel launched what has been described as a preemptive strike, marking a sharp military escalation in the region. Reports indicated that certain locations in the Iranian capital were targeted. Iranian authorities have yet to issue a detailed official statement on the full extent of the damage.
Amid rising tensions and concerns over possible further escalation, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv stated that it remains in close contact with local authorities and will continue to provide updates to the Indian community as required.
