Guwahati, 27 February (HS): The Gorchuk Police in Guwahati arrested two alleged drug peddlers and seized ganja from their possession during a special operation carried out in the police station area.

According to police sources on Friday, the operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs. During the অভিযান, the police apprehended two individuals and recovered 1.540 grams of ganja from them.

The arrested accused have been identified as Dulal Miah (28) of Puthimari and Saiful Ali (26) of Barpeta. In addition to the contraband, the police also seized two mobile phones from their possession.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and further interrogation of the accused is underway, police added.---------------
