
Jammu, 27 February (H.S.): Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command held an interaction with all Zila Sainik Board Officers of Jammu & Kashmir, Directors of Rajya Sainik Board and officials of the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Regional Centre, here today.
A considerable number of officers and officials also participated in the meeting through virtual mode.
The deliberations primarily focused on the holistic welfare of Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris and their families.
Key areas of discussion included rehabilitation, resettlement, healthcare delivery and strengthening the civil-military connect to further nation-building initiatives.
The interaction provided an important platform to review ongoing welfare measures and to explore additional steps for enhancing outreach and service delivery to the veteran community.
During the session, the Army Commander reaffirmed the steadfast commitment of Northern Command to work in close coordination with the Zila Sainik Boards to ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes, timely grievance redressal and improved support systems for veterans and their dependents.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to further strengthen synergy between the Armed Forces and civil administration to safeguard the dignity, welfare and well-being of the Ex-Servicemen fraternity.
