Guwahati, 27 February (HS): Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday stated that the BJP has a clear formula regarding alliance and seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming elections, asserting that the party will contest in alliance where possible and opt for friendly contests in constituencies where an agreement cannot be reached.

Addressing the media after a program, the Chief Minister said that the BJP is prepared with a “solution formula” and will maintain cordial relations with its allies. “In the constituencies where understanding is possible, we will contest together. Where it is not feasible, there will be friendly competition,” he said.

Sarma further informed that the party has finalized its alliance with the Rabha Joint Forum and the Bodoland People’s Front. He added that seat-sharing arrangements with the Asom Gana Parishad are expected to be completed before March 10.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the alliance partners would arrive at a mutual understanding soon and work collectively to strengthen the NDA in the state.----------
