New Delhi, 26 February (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Thursday, thanking him for steadfast support in fortifying the special India-Israel partnership. The leaders explored avenues to enhance cooperation in education, startups, innovation, technology, and connectivity.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that Modi planted a tree in the President's garden under the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' initiative. Modi extended an invitation for Herzog to visit India soon, while Herzog shared a video on X stating that the people of India and Israel are stronger together.

Earlier, PM Modi visited the Yad Vashem World Holocaust Remembrance Center—his second trip there—paying tribute to Holocaust victims. He toured the Book of Names Hall, a memorial preserving the memory of millions killed during the genocide, serving as a poignant reminder of past atrocities and the resolve to build a better world.
