New Delhi, 26 February (H.S.): Global markets radiated optimism from Wall Street's tech-fueled surge, though Asia traded mixed amid selective profit-taking.

US Indices Soar

Tech buoyancy propelled Wall Street higher: S&P 500 climbed 0.81% to 6,946.13, Nasdaq vaulted 1.24% (284.59 pts) to 23,148.27; Dow futures dipped 0.09% to 49,439.75 today.

Europe Joins Rally

FTSE surged 1.16% (125.82 pts) to 10,806.41, DAX rose 0.75% (189.69 pts) to 25,175.94, CAC edged up 0.47% to 8,559.07—tech enthusiasm spilling across Atlantic.

Asia Mixed Bag

Five of nine Asian indices green: Gift Nifty +0.11% (25,648), Taiwan Weighted +0.23% (35,493.43), Kospi leaped 2.06% (125.27 pts) to 6,209.13, SET +0.92% (1,529.97), Nikkei +0.40% (231.88 pts, 58,815). Laggards: Jakarta Composite -0.61% (8,271.48), Hang Seng -0.44% (118.72 pts, 26,647), Straits Times -0.20% (4,997.89), Shanghai Composite -0.08% (4,144.08).
